Corona chair

Designer: Poul M. Volther
Designed: 1964
The Corona Chair was designed by the Danish Poul M Volther in 1964 and its popularity has continued since then. The designer seems to have been inspired by a solar eclipse, thus the four part structure. The four cushions covered in leather and the steel structure and legs. The combination between empty spaces and the shells, makes it look very organic and in the same time techy. It is very comfortable and elegant for a livingroom or conference room (was used in the EU summit in Copenhagen in 2002). Size: chair:86×83x97 (cm) and stool:68×44x47 (cm).
