The Panthella table light was designed by Verner Panton in 1971 and produced in Denmark by Louis Poulsen. Verner Panton used to say: The main purpose of my work is to provoke people into using their imagination and he really does challenge us to use our imagination. The lamp provides a diffused illumination through both its 2 sections: a light source and a trumpet-like base. It is made of injection molded white opal acrylic and the base is made of injection molded ABS, and both the shade and the foot act as a reflector. There is also a floor version. Size: Height: 580 mm, Shade diameter: 400 mm, Base diameter: 250 mm. Light source: 75 watt incandescent light bulb.
